I'm Brian. Over the years I have bred and owned Manx, Birman, Siamese and Oriental Shorthair cats, and Shetland Sheepdogs, Golden Retrievers and Havanese. So when KennelKeeper renames itself for cats, that is not a marketing idea. I needed it.
In the nineties my records lived in CatTrax and CompuPed. After that it was Excel and Word for a long time, and a folder of paper for everything else. I have also spent twenty-five years hand-coding websites, most of them for kennel clubs and breed associations, which is how I ended up thinking about this problem for a living.
I started building KennelKeeper in December 2025 with three rules: the records belong to the breeder, it has to be easy, and it has to work alongside the tools people already use rather than replace them. It is a one-person project. When you email, you get me, and when something is wrong I would rather hear about it than not.

The records belong to the breeder.
They are written to your device first, export to CSV or JSON on every plan, and stay readable and exportable if you stop paying.
Rule 2
It has to be easy.
Start free in your browser. No card, no install, nothing to cancel.
Rule 3
It works alongside the tools people already use.
Import a spreadsheet as CSV, photograph the papers you already have, and export back to Excel whenever you like.
It is a one-person project.
When you email, you get me, and when something is wrong I would rather hear about it than not. A real person replies, usually within one business day.
